What a moment when your mail came in: Edwin is on board, and we get to do this for all four SBAs at Schunk Sonosystems. Thank you, and thanks to Marie and Edwin for the energy in the session on 14 September, when Jeffrey presented Under One Second.
The first film is already there on paper: the cooling story, the KOBRA, the operator who has seen that one second four million times, and the cold brew pay-off. The modular system is in place too. What still needs to be made: the concepts and scripts for Wire Harness, Battery and Power Electronics, the corporate brand film, and of course the five productions themselves.
On this page you will find how we do that: one production week, five filming days, five films that work on their own and together. And yes, the corporate clown gets his moment. We are thrilled to make this happen together.

Schunk Sonosystems is number one in ultrasonic welding, with 400 people in Wettenberg, Boston, Toluca, Kenitra, Taicang, Ansan and Yokohama. Your existing customers know exactly what you are worth. New customers often don’t, and there is no image film yet that tells them.
Each SBA works in its own world: refrigeration, wire harness, battery and power electronics. Different customers, same strengths: reliability, precision and a partner for the long run. From the outside the machine looks the same every time; on the inside it never is. Four separate films in four separate styles would never show that as one brand.

Every process that matters happens in about a second. We freeze it, stretch it open and let someone who has seen it a million times explain, dry and unhurried, why it matters to you. Then we snap back to full speed and land the pay-off: “You’re welcome.”
The structure is identical in all four films. The story is not:
- Cooling: one second, twenty years of cold brew
- Wire Harness: 0.3 seconds, every indicator
- Battery: one second, your phone at 3%
- Power Electronics: one second, the lights stay on
Every SBA gets its own film for sales, trade shows and LinkedIn. Together they form the master film of around 2:30: four timecodes at once, then four seconds in sequence.
Concept: three new scripts and the brand film
We build on the cooling film and the modular system. For Wire Harness, Battery and Power Electronics we write a synopsis, voice-over script and storyboard in the same format, plus the concept for the corporate brand film. You review each script with your SBA owners before we move on.
What we need from you: one contact per SBA who knows the process inside out, an hour of their time so we can pick their brain, and confirmation of the filming locations.
Pre-production: every filming day planned
Crew planning, casting of the four “operators”, location scouting and a day-by-day plan for the production week. We prepare gear and travel so every filming day runs like your machines: no surprises.
Production: five days, four seconds and one brand film
Five consecutive filming days with directors, camera, light and audio departments. Days one to four: one SBA film per day. Day five: extra footage for the Schunk Sonosystems brand film, from the hall in Wettenberg to the people behind the machines.
Post-production: five films, two feedback rounds each
Editing, colour grading, sound design and music for four SBA films of around 90 seconds and the corporate brand film. Every film includes two rounds of feedback.
